Mini Monet - My Many Colored Days

We read the book, "My Many Colored Days", by Dr. Seuss

All of my Mini Monet friends colored pictures for our Many Colors Class Board.

We had fun reading the book and talking about all the colors of the rainbow.

We chose to do art base on the

Green... Cool and Quiet Fish
from
the book!

Here's their art!

Tween Class - Blue Vase Still Life

The girls studied our still life setting and various paintings by Henri Matisse
and then
we sketched and painted on canvas board.

We didn't quite complete our paintings so we will meet again to
add the finishing touches.

I will post more pictures when we're done!

Crafty Collages - Art Party

The girls came out to create collage art ~
 with summer on their minds...

Panda Bears were drawn with pencil...  outlined with oil pastel and painted with watercolor.

Sydney and Alaina - Zebra Lesson

We studied the art of Henri Rousseau who also loved to paint animals in his artwork!

We painted rainbow zebras!

Art Is Super Fun!!!

(I just have to say)

Pint-Sized Picasso's and Giant Panda Bears

The drawings were outlined with oil pastels... the pandas were painted with tempera paint
and the sky painted with
watercolor!

Megan & Her Girls

Megan and her girls came to the studio to create something special for the DADDY in

their family.  He celebrated a big milestone at work and the girls

created art to celebrate the occasion!

Acrylic on canvas for the girls!

Collage on Canvas for Megan!

Lesson with Ty and Farrah

Big Brother brought Little Sister to class today!

He has a love for birds... She has a love for cats...

This is the art that came from that combination!

Giraffes and Zebras with Creative Kids

We outlined our drawing with sharpie and then painted our giraffes and zebras with
watercolor.

After that we put the background in with chalk pastels.

Some of the kids chose to add a black border around their paintings!

I love how their artwork turned out!

Castles & Knights with Creative Kids

3-D Art Castle
We did stamping with sponges to create the look of stones for the castle walls.
We used oil pastels to outline the windows and castle door.
Fun Stuff!

Matt wanted to add a catapult to the top of his castle!

Ellie added an awesome dragon to her shield.
