Mitten Art

We created mitten art this morning in class!

The kids painted their canvas blue and then painted snowflakes on it.

We used a separate piece of watercolor paper for the mitten and added designs and color using
watercolor paint.
I glued a decorative string to their canvases to hang the gloves on with a clothes pin!

We read the book, "The Missing Mitten Mystery" by Steven Kellogg, to go along with
our lesson!

Winter Rabbit Art

In Pint-Sized Picasso's...

we first created a beautiful nighttime
background for our winter
rabbits.  We used tempera paint for the background.

We drew our winter rabbit on a separate piece of tan paper.
After drawing our rabbits, the kids colored them with chalk and oil pastel.

Then we cut out the rabbits and glued them to the background piece!

Beautiful!

(I found this art lesson in a blog called Mary-Making)

Minion Art

We created minions of all kinds!

We painted minions on canvas board,
painted rock minions,
&
 made clay minions!

We listened to Minion music as well!  I think the Minion version
of
"YMCA"
was my
favorite!
