Pint-Sized Picasso's ~ June 25th

Class # 2 ART

The kids created beautiful puppy art after we read the book, "My Big Dog!" by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel.  They wished we had time to do -Merl the Cat- from the story too!

The Girls Were Great Matisse Art Detectives!  We worked on putting the "The Goldfish Bowl" painting
together by doing a collage!

FUN! FUN! FUN!

I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!  ...I hope the girls did too!!!

From "Conversation with Henri Matisse'" - L'Art Vivant -  "I have only very gradually discovered the secret of my art.  It is in fact a meditation on nature, the expression of a dream which is always inspired by reality."

4.       Draw something that opens!  A flower…  An alligator’s mouth…  A treasure chest!  Don’t forget, you’re the artist!
5.       If you were an ant, draw what you would see! Is this new world Ginormous?
6.        Express in a drawing your HAPPIEST moment of this past school year!
7.       Draw something you are good at ~ like a certain kind of sport…  or another fun activity!
8.       Draw something you’d like to be better at ~ like climbing trees… or diving from a diving board!  You pick your own something!
9.       An alien spaceship has landed next to the community pool.  Draw a picture of it and what you would do!  Maybe you might start a water balloon fight?  Or if you’re really nice…  you might invite the nice aliens to a swim party???
10.    Draw a picture of your favorite amusement park ride, now put yourself in the seat of that ride -  …screaming your head off!

16.     If you could cast your very own Harry Potter style magic spell….  What would it be?  Draw a picture of it!
17.     An Underwater World…  What does it look like?  Make sure that you add your friends to this drawing…  they wouldn’t want to miss out on any of the fun!
18.     Self portrait…  first do a serious face – and then a funny face  (now compare the two, which one is your favorite?)
19.     Draw and color fireworks in the night sky!  And by the way, Happy 4th of July!  I’m a poet and didn’t even know it!
20.   Draw yourself and friends fishing in a boat.  What crazy kinds of fish or other things do you catch?  Let’s see what these underwater creatures from the deep look like!
