Rainbow Whale Art Project
The pint-sized Picasso's drew some very nice looking whales in class today!
We outlined our drawings with sharpie and painted our pictures with watercolor.
Dragonfly Art
In Mini-Monet class we created dragonfly art!
This piece was so fun to do with
the kids!
We painted our background with watercolor paint and spritzed our background with water.
Then we painted coffee filter flowers for our lily pads.
After that we used oil pastels to draw details on our lily pads.
Finally we gave our dragonfly fun interesting wings to fly around with and googly eyes to see with!

Denver Botanical Gardens visit with Chihuly exhibit
The gardens were amazing with these beautiful glass sculptures sprinkled throughout!
I have to go back and see it again!
Fairy Garden Fun
Having the fairy garden outside has inspired me to make fairy houses again!
Lucky for me, I had 3 little art students that were up for the challenge!
How cute did these little houses turn out?
En Plein Air
All the kids enjoyed painting outside!
We did some sketching!
We drew a water fountain, a fairy garden, and a fire pit!
(of course we imagined roasting marshmallows
in the fire pit and we added those details to our sketches!)
We did some splatter painting!
We did some chalk art!
We painted on a Van Gogh masterpiece!
&
All that art made us really super hungry - so we snacked too!
Shadow Box Art
It's a good thing my kids eat lots of cereal!
We had plenty of boxes for the Creative Kids class to repurpose into shadow boxes!
This was a fun project!
